Experience the pure sound of India. Be captivated by the rarely heard combination of the sarod, sitar and tabla. Let highly skilled musicians take you on a sensory journey celebrating the charm and beauty of this uplifting music.
Dr. Rajeeb Chakraborty brings an astounding versatility of self-expression as a musician, educationalist, music composer and conductor. His talent has taken him across the globe performing at numerous concerts and major festivals including Bath Festival, Chester Summer Festival, Edinburgh Festival, Vienna Festival & Frankfurt Jazz Festival. Rajeeb will be joined by leading female sitarist Reena Shrivastava and outstanding tabla player, Sanju Sahai.
Art Asia has invited Rajeeb to devise a special fusion composition in association with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. This collaboration will include a unique performance at the Turner Sims
Concert Hall.
All the artists involved will work with Bitterne Park Secondary and Bevois Town Primary School to create an ensemble, which will perform at this year’s Southampton Mela Festival.
